Bumblebee Village began as the in-home daycare of Jennifer Thur. Jennifer was born and raised in Medina, a 2002 graduate of Medina Senior High School. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Otterbein University in Westerville, OH, and her MBA from Capital University in Bexley, OH. Jennifer then married a fellow Medina graduate, Mike Thur, in 2012, and they began their life right here in Medina. They had their first child in 2014, and Jen began her in-home daycare services. Over the past three years, business flourished and Jen ran one of the most highly recommended in-home daycares in Medina. Seeing a need for her loving in-home daycare style, but wanting the structure and security of a licensed childcare center, Bumblebee Village was born. Her motto has always been that "It takes a village to raise our children". She loves being involved in their lives during and after daycare hours. She and her staff care for each of the children as their own. Parenting is hard work, and leaving your child with a caregiver can be the most difficult thing you'll endure along that journey. Our Village is here to help you out when you need it - as a daycare provider, as a friend, as your FAMILY. It truly takes a village to raise our children, and what better Village to surround you than one that will support you every step of the way.
